Bee Sting Home Remedies...

Western honey bee

Most people only have a minor reaction to the sting but in some patients a major medical emergency may arise. An allergic reaction is possible in about three percent of the population.

A small stab with the stinger of a bee results in a red puffy area because of the venom the bee injected into the skin. There are several ways of dealing with a bee sting and if you have a toddler or child screaming their head off, you need something that will work fast!

If you know your child is allergic to bee stings you should seek immediate medical treatment. Special pens are available to use immediately after a sting to counteract the effects of the venom.

How to Get Beautiful Nails...

Most of us spend a lot of time making sure that our face and hair look great.  Why?  Because it’s usually the first thing a person sees and notices about us.  However, a good impression of your appearance can be turned upside down quickly after they shake your hand and notice poorly cared-for nails.  That’s why it’s important not to stop caring about your appearance when you’re done with the obvious.  Here are some tips to keep your nails healthy and looking as good as the rest of your body.

The first step in getting your nails healthy is getting yourself healthy.  If your body is lacking nutrients, it’s going to show all over, even your nails.  Be sure to eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.  You may even want to take a daily multivitamin or other supplements.

Buff your nails regularly.  This keeps them from looking rough, but it also helps get oxygen to the nail bed and gets the blood flow going.  Both of these are essential for healthy, beautiful nails.

When applying nail polish, or a nail treatment product, applying a quick thick coat is going to be a bad choice in the long run.  To get a good look, apply a thin coat and allow it to dry fully, then apply more coats.

Detox and Eczema...

Eczema on arms.

If you’re one of the three percent of adults that has to deal with eczema, you know what frustration feels like.  You’ve probably tried all kinds of pills, creams, and seemingly ridiculous regimens with very little luck.  Well, all these chemicals you’re adding may just be part of the cause of your problem.

As we go through our day, toxic chemicals are continually entering our body; they’re in the food we eat, the chemicals we put on our skin, and even in the air we breathe.  While a little bit of these chemicals is fine, after a few years, they build up in our bodies, slow us down and can even lead to negative health effects.  Eczema is one of the negative effects many people believe is caused by these chemicals.

This means that if you periodically flush these chemicals out of your body through detox, you may see your symptoms decrease almost immediately.  Plus, you’ll probably feel better and lose some weight, too.

What is Biorhythm?...

In nature, many things run by cycles; the tides cycle, the weather cycles, the season cycles, even the sun goes through an active and passive cycle, or activity like solar flares.  So, if everything around us goes through cycles, shouldn’t we go through cycles as well?  This is what the concept of biorhythms is based on.  The principle is that all humans go through physical, emotional and mental cycles and if we understand these cycles, we can predict them, just like the weather, and use this knowledge to our advantage.
